In 2023, Léargas contracted 353 projects, awarding €26,668,532.80 in funding to organisations across Ireland. It was a year of significant growth in our programmes, and increased engagement with our stakeholders. We reached over 1,000 individuals through training and networking activities, and contributed to both national and international research and policy initiatives, crucial to improving our practices and helping us to achieve our mission.
A highpoint of 2023 was participating in the ‘European Year of Skills’ awareness campaign designed by the European Commission. This theme was embedded throughout our work all year as we focused on promoting skills development and lifelong learning opportunities through our various initiatives and partnerships within education and training, youth, sport and community sectors.
